The Fault Tolerant Systems Research Group of Budapest University of Technology is the main academic partners of OptXware. The research activities of the group primarily focus on the analysis and synthesis of dependable systems with a special emphasis on the integration of modeling technologies with formal dependability analysis methods.

OptXware has many years of joint research activities with the Dependable Embedded Systems & Software Group of Technical University of Darmstadt. The group targets research in the broad area of distributed "embedded systems and SW", and specifically the development of robust SW/OS and protocols as an infrastructural basis for secure/trustworthy systems and services.
